Core Principles

Personal Liberty – Personal liberty is the centerpiece, the focus. It is at the core of our philosophy. Each individual is in possession of their life, and by extension, their thoughts, their choices and the product of their labor. They may exercise and dispose of these things in any manner they see fit, as long as it does not obstruct the free exercise of another person to do the same.

Self-Government – The most fundamental of human rights is the right to life. Each individual is sovereign and owns their body, their mind and the resulting production. No person or entity has a greater moral claim to direct a person’s activities than that person. Likewise, no person or entity has a greater moral claim to direct the activities of a community than the members of that community. Governmental authority should be bottom up, rather than top down.

Free Enterprise – Economic freedom is a prerequisite for political and social freedom. A free market is the most egalitarian system ever devised. Every participant in a free market influences that market, but no person or group directs it. It is the aggregation of all of those individual desires, contributions and innovations that compose the market, create demand, encourage innovation and production and determine the value of production and products. Every individual is then free to choose where to direct their time and skills to provide the best value to themselves by providing the greatest value to others.
